Fresco Workshop

Strappo and Stacco Exersice.

Strappo and stacco  techniques are methods for removing frescos from the walls  on which they are painted. They were widely used at the beginning of the 20th Century. Now  they are strongly discouraged because they cause a great deal damage of the art work. These techniques are now only used  in situations where  the fresco  is in  imminent  danger of complete destruction.
