Restoration Work

 

Church of San Giovanni Battista, 12th Century

 

In the summers of 2003 and 2004 UWM students and faculty restored the original 12th. century facade of the church. The following work was done to the masonry and mosaic decorations that make up the facade:  cleaning, consolidation, sealing, removal of all Portland cement mortar and pointing with new lime mortar.

Facade of Church of Santo Gemini, 14th Century

Restoration of Masonry Facade includes : cleaning, stone consolidation, pointing, and documenting of the of the 14th Century façade. Work commenced in 2005 and is being done by UWM faculty and students.
